Dr Olivia Carter, Senior Clinical Psychologist
Olivia has been working at CCI as a member of the Eating Disorders Program since 2015, following the completion of her Doctorate of Psychology (Clinical) at The University of Western Australia, where her postgraduate research focused on eating disorders. Olivia is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatments and has extensive experience delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-ED) for adults and adolescents with eating disorders and Family Based Treatment (FBT) for adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa. She is a board approved supervisor and has a particular interest in providing training to others and mentoring trainees and registrars. In addition to her clinical work, Olivia has been actively involved with the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) for several years, having served a term on the board of directors and convening the organisation's annual binational conference in Perth (and online) in 2021. She is currently co-chair of the Academy of Eating Disorders CBT Special Interest Group, which allows her to connect with other professionals from around the world working in this field.
