Awards Season Wins for CCI
It’s been a very exciting time for the team here at CCI with wins at both the inaugural WA Excellence in Allied Health awards and the North Metropolitan Health Service 2024 Go the Extra Mile (GEM) awards.
CCI were delighted to be recognised at the inaugural WA Excellence in Allied Health awards, which were held to recognise the work of allied health professionals across WA who have made an outstanding contribution to their field. Western Australia’s 25,000 allied health professionals represent almost one third of the health workforce and deliver more than 20 million health services annually. These awards recognised professionals from a variety of backgrounds and specialties, showcasing the diverse nature of the more than 10,000 allied health professionals employed by WA Health.
CCI were awarded the inaugural Allied Health Team of the Year award and were represented on the night by several members of our team. We feel very proud of our achievements as a team and grateful for the opportunity to work every day alongside such passionate and hardworking people who all come together around a goal of consistently improving outcomes in mental health for the people of WA. We are grateful for this recognition and thank all those people who have contributed to the work we do at CCI across the past 22 years.
Two members of our team were also recognised on the same night at the GEM Awards, which form part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) Staff Recognition Program and recognise the fantastic work of the people within this service. Each of the winners have made significant contributions to the health service and demonstrated that they go that extra mile to support patients, colleagues, or the community.
CCI congratulates Senior Clinical Psychologist Dr Bronwyn Raykos for her Driving Innovation award, recognising her work in designing an innovative digital application to improve access to eating disorder intervention for patients and their families. We also proudly acknowledge the achievements of our Senior Research Scientist, David Erceg-Hurn, who was awarded Researcher of the Year, recognising his commitment to scientific rigor and a strong desire to improve the lives of people with mental health problems. You can find out more about the research that Dave conducts with our team in his role at CCI on our website here.
